Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

Perhaps this will help some folks.  I have no idea why this works for me, but it has:

In Teams Settings, Under Devices, if I set:

     - Speaker to "Headphones (____ Airpods Pro Stereo)

    and

    • Microphone to "Microphone Array (Realtek Audio)"

    then it works.

I think this means the microphone on my computer is being used, but my airpods work for the speakers.

Note that when I do any other combination, including selecting "Airpods Pro Hands Free," it doesn't work.

    Hi Shawn,

I saw that you said they were looking into this issue at the end of January, any further movement on this? I would imagine with the global situation ongoing, a lot of businesses will be moving to Microsoft Teams, and I'd also imagine a large amount of those users will have Airpods of some form.

It would be amazing if Microsoft were able to rectify the issue.

    Kind regards,

    Connor

I just buy a new iPhone X and Apple's Airpods Pro. Before I just use wired in-ear phones but now want Bluetooth phones for more flexibility. The Airpods Pro are fantastic and work with all my devices (Apple and not Apple). They only doesn't work with Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams. The airpods are not cheap and is a good product. Why Microsoft does not support them? I do a lot of work form home and uses Team and Skype a lot beacause customers use it. Only for Skype for Business i put out my earphones and use microphone and speaker form the laptop. This gives sometimes a lot of echo with is unpleasant for me and the customer.

For now i'm looking to other video conferencing tools like Zoom but will ask Microsoft to fix this problem!!

    Regards,

    Hans.
