Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

    Hello everyone,

My airpods also do not work with Microsoft Teams on a HP laptop (can speak but not listen). Though, they work fine in the Teams App of the Iphone...How can I use them in Microsoft Teams of the laptop?

    So frustrated.

    Regards,

    Tiago

    Hi Tiago,

Try the following in your "Device Settings" within Teams.

    -  Speaker = Airpod Pro Stereo (not hands free)

    -  Microphone = Laptop microphone

That's how I got mine working with Teams on my Microsoft Surface Pro.

Hope you can get it to work!

    Nancy

Airpods were working fine for me, until yesterday, when I upgraded Teams. Now it doesn't work at all. Keeps disconnecting my AirPods.

AirPods are one of the best selling items out there and are vital for people working remotely. That you can't use them with MS Teams (which is 100% a Microsoft NOT an Apple issue) will likely move me to other programs that aren't Microsoft. I fail to understand how this has not been resolved yet.

With all the talent at Microsoft, I would have expected more and a solution already in place.  Solving this post-pandemic isn't overly helpful.

Update - I am not sure whether it is the latest set of Windows 10 updates or something teams but airpods pro now work fine with teams and webex.  On your windows 10 bluetooth settings forget the airpods and re-pair them and you should be able to the select the headset airpods for both audio and microphone.  I am now a very happy customer again.
