Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

My IT guy was able to install Jabra Direct. We tested Teams right after, and it worked! I didn't have to go into Jabra Direct app and search or anything. I had another call this morning and it worked as well. I just have to make sure my Airpods are connected since I use a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music while I'm working. Hopefully this solved the issue for good! Thank you for your recommendation!

You were able to use Jabra Direct for your AirPods?

I downloaded it but it only seemed to want to pair with Jabra devices.

Yes. I don't own any Jabra devices but as recommended above, I purchased a Jabra Bluetooth receiver. I plugged it in to my laptop, installed Jabra Direct, now I'm able to use my airpods with Microsoft Teams. I've done only 2 calls since then but both times worked perfectly. I didn't have to open the Jabra Direct app and mess with setting there.

Oh, got’cha. I missed the part about the receiver and just tried the application itself haha. Makes sense!

Same issue. We are now 6 months into a pandemic and still no solution. Since the airpods work on teams for ipad, iphone and mac it is only logical to assume that the issue is on the windows platform.

Now for a fix, the solution cannot be for me to purchase a new headphone let alone a Teams approved one which retails for $200 plus!

This very much looks like a business decision on revenue sharing. Why support the most popular earbuds if there is no cut to the most popular business conference app? In the end we the consumers have to suffer when most of us are working from home. Please do find a fix because i have no intension of purchasing a teams approved head phones. Thanks.
