Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

    Can you please give an update on the status of apple airpods being compatible with:-

    Skype for Business

    Microsoft Teams

    the community deserves an answer that is appropriate. I have seen numerous forums and posts about this subject but no specific answer. if the answer is, it will never work, it will never be supported then that is okay.......

    .. what i see is a long thread without an official statement, a timeline, a release target version. an acknowledgement that it is on the roadmap and planned for release.

    JUST GIVE US A STATEMENT - and i do not want to be pointed at a list of supportable devices. Please answer the single question below

    Will Apple Airpods be supported on by Microsoft and will work with Headphones and Microphone on Microsoft Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams.

    I've been using my airpod pro with Teams for months now. The only issues I have are apple-related and occur with my android phone too, but they've been fine with Teams. If I have a problem I do the same thing that fixes it with my phone... keep disconnecting/reconnecting the airpods until it connects properly.

    I had the same problem.  When you set it up in device settings,  set the microphone to the computer microphone and/camera mic.  Then, set the speakers to the AirPods.  This at least lets you use the AirPods, but does not allow you to move around as freely if you are participating in the meeting. 

    Annoying that they can't be used for both speakers and mic, but at least this is a workaround.

    Hi thanks for the post - the reason it drops in and out relates to the codec and switching of the voice across the application. Just need microsoft to cater and address that in their next windows 10 update. It all works fine with apple propriatary hardware. Just looking for a statement that will say it will neve work !
