Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

    Hi Tiago,

    Try the following in your "Device Settings" within Teams.

    -  Speaker = Airpod Pro Stereo (not hands free)

    -  Microphone = Laptop microphone

    That's how I got mine working with Teams on my Microsoft Surface Pro.

    Thank you for this. I am really thinking about buying a pair of Airpod Pro, but I need it to get it working with teams.

    I have found your solution on a youtube video also, however the unanswered question still was, if you are using the microphone of the laptop with this settings or that it is going through the mic of the Airpod Pro?

    I also saw Rob Hallett's reply below that he has is working now.

    I am using the microphone of the laptop or the microphone of the video cam.  It will not work if I opt for Airpod Pro Stereo under microphone settings.

    At this time there is no workaround. Our engineers are working with Apple developers to find fixes for these issues. I understand this inconvenince totally, please wait for the updates in the future.

    Hi

    I discovered, a bit by accident, that the Jabra 370 USB bluetooth adaptor Alongside the AirPods seems to fix the problem- AirPods work very well on MS teams now. It is an extra c£50 though! I’m sure it’s not an official fix-but might help others.

    Update - I am not sure whether it is the latest set of Windows 10 updates or something teams but airpods pro now work fine with teams and webex.  On your windows 10 bluetooth settings forget the airpods and re-pair them and you should be able to the select the headset airpods for both audio and microphone.  I am now a very happy customer again.
