Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

    Hi Shawn,

The webpage you link to doesn't specify teams compatibility, only Skype and Lync...

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/certification/devices-usb-devices?toc=/MicrosoftTeams/toc.json&bc=/microsoftteams/breadcrumb/toc.json

I need to buy Bluetooth earbuds for my iphone and have no way of knowing which will work... it feels just like 1999...

    Best regards,

    Alfonso Tapia.

    Hi.

    My experience:

    1. On startup, Teams would connect with Airpods.
    2. Audio setup in teams recognizes Airpods Pro
    3. Meeting will start connected to Airpods Pro
    4. In the middle of the conversation/meeting the audio cuts out and goes to internal mic and speaker.
    5. Needs to re-connect bluetooth connection to Airpods Pro
    6. Then cut-out again

On other sw like zoom and gogle meetings this doesn't happen

    Here's my current setup:

    • Airpods Pro: Version 3A283
    • Mac OS: 11.1
    • MacBook Pro : 13 in, Early 2015
    • Teams Version:  1.3.00.33671

For the current situation, Airpods/ Airpods Pro are not in the list of Teams fully supported devices: USB audio and video devices.

Maybe the reason why Airpods are not listed as supported USB audio and video devices is that they are not USB devices at all.

    Best Regards,

    Sébastien
