Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

    Can you please escalate this to Microsoft tech support to help get this resolved ASAP?! This has remained an issue for several months, particularly for those using a PC (for work) with Teams and AirPods. Get with the program Microsoft- I get that you compete with Apple, but this is not a good long term strategy. We will continue to use AirPods. Please fix this stat!!!

    I had the same problem.  When you set it up in device settings,  set the microphone to the computer microphone and/camera mic.  Then, set the speakers to the AirPods.  This at least lets you use the AirPods, but does not allow you to move around as freely if you are participating in the meeting. 

    Annoying that they can't be used for both speakers and mic, but at least this is a workaround.

    I can get my AirPods Pros working with teams for both speaker and mic if I have them connected, on, and chosen as the audio before starting Teams. I have to restart each time I connect them, but they work.

    This also works for me, just adding in to anyone else seeing this problem. If I connect airpods to my computer first, have them in my ears and on, and then open teams they work fine. If teams is open in the background when I put my headphones in they do not work. 

    After reading a ton of the posts I finally saw yours.  I am so glad I did not give up reading.  I followed your steps and oh my goodness it worked.  I am so very happy as I work from home and my son surprised me with my new earbuds. I also shared your info with my boss and he is now up and running as well. Thank you again!

    Same issue here. Airpods working fine EVERYWHERE in Windows 10, except Teams and Skype!

    PLEASE! FIX THIS!
