Hi all,

I recently installer MacOS Big Sur in my Macbook Pro from scratch (not upgrading from previous installation). Once the system was working, I installed the Office 365 suite from App Store and MS Teams from microsoft.com (Teams does not exists in the App Store). All software is working properly EXCEPT Teams. After installation and launch, I keeps freezed in the "Loading Microsoft Teams" view.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the package several times, restarted the machine, etc, but it still does not work.

Are there any procedures or fixed I should perform? Does Teams actually works on Big Sur?

Thanks.

The issue is clearly linked to the Big Sur update. After that, I couldnt use mute, or any of the buttons, I could type messages in meetings but in some cases couldnt see who was in meetings, if I reloaded I could see who was in the meeting but couldnt get involved in the meeting.

Basically We are now waiting for Microsoft to update its side so it works with Big Sur. Its my own fault for jumping the gun and updating straight away instead of waiting for every other organsation to play catch up.

When will Microsoft Teams work with macOS Big Sur and M1 Apple Silicon devices? I tried to look for a roadmap or any info, but to no avail. Where do I find out when the app will work properly?

I am having the exact same issue on a Macbook Air M1 running Big Sur. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. I deleted the above mentioned folders, however some of the folders listed were not there. There are also no credentials saved in the keychain as I've never been able to get past the loading screen.

    Hi Rodrigo,

For troubleshooting purpose please make sure you disable Firewall, Antivirus, VPN/Proxy for a while.

If you have any other device and check the outcome, it will help us to isolate issue with your account and device used.

    Regards
    Nik
