How to not pop out the meeting window as a separate window?

I'm not sureif it was an update or something. But all of a sudden everytime I join a meeting, it pops out to a separate window. I really hate this since I usually minimize the window within teams to do other tasks. How can I make sure that it doesn't get split into 2 windows? I really can't focus with this, how do I make it go back to normal?

My name is Veejay, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be glad to help you.

If you don't want to pop out the meeting in a separate window, you should disable "Turn on new meeting experience"

To do that:

Click on your Profile Picture > Settings > Under General Tab, Go to Application Section > Uncheck/Disable "Turn on new meeting experience". > Close Window.

After that, Restart Teams by right clicking on the Teams icon at the task bar > Quit.

Then start Teams app again.

    I run a small law firm in Syracuse, NY and am adding my office’s vote to please reinstate the option to disable the “new meeting experience”.  

    We use Teams primarily to make and receive calls from clients.  The “new meeting experience” results in a huge window taking over most of the screen every time a call is made or received.  The new pop up window does not offer any functionality and instead detracts from the information that we frequently need to access during calls.

    Yeah that option is gone now. Thanks, I hate it.

    Oh and do us a favor and don't purchase Discord, you'll only **** it up.

    Removing this option was a mistake.  A solution in search of a problem, 100%.

    Teams is far less user friendly when I have to go searching around for the second little meeting window.  You've got about 3000 people already looking for how to un-do this.

    Stop annoying your paying customers.
