How to not pop out the meeting window as a separate window?

I'm not sureif it was an update or something. But all of a sudden everytime I join a meeting, it pops out to a separate window. I really hate this since I usually minimize the window within teams to do other tasks. How can I make sure that it doesn't get split into 2 windows? I really can't focus with this, how do I make it go back to normal?

My name is Veejay, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be glad to help you.

If you don't want to pop out the meeting in a separate window, you should disable "Turn on new meeting experience"

To do that:

Click on your Profile Picture > Settings > Under General Tab, Go to Application Section > Uncheck/Disable "Turn on new meeting experience". > Close Window.

After that, Restart Teams by right clicking on the Teams icon at the task bar > Quit.

Then start Teams app again.

    Would Microsoft please give us a way to TURN OFF this annoying feature? I have a 43" monitor and when I take a Teams call the call opens in a massive window and blocks my other open windows. I have to resize the Teams call every single time. This is a huge annoyance.

    I have looked into Microsoft Teams settings, however, I don't seem to be able to find that option named "Turn on new meeting experience".

    Please put back the option to disable pop out on calls. Super annoying with all these windows open.
