How to not pop out the meeting window as a separate window?

I'm not sureif it was an update or something. But all of a sudden everytime I join a meeting, it pops out to a separate window. I really hate this since I usually minimize the window within teams to do other tasks. How can I make sure that it doesn't get split into 2 windows? I really can't focus with this, how do I make it go back to normal?

My name is Veejay, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be glad to help you.

If you don't want to pop out the meeting in a separate window, you should disable "Turn on new meeting experience"

To do that:

Click on your Profile Picture > Settings > Under General Tab, Go to Application Section > Uncheck/Disable "Turn on new meeting experience". > Close Window.

After that, Restart Teams by right clicking on the Teams icon at the task bar > Quit.

Then start Teams app again.

    Thanks Mark, I will give this a try.

    Just need to wait for someone to call me now before I can actually test or enable the setting.

    For me the most annoying thing is the window restoring to the center of my screen when it has been minimized.
    Juggling to many windows when trying to access applications while on a video call.
    I want the video call to stay snapped to the half of my monitor that I docked it to.

    Microsoft have created an issue here by not being able to go back to the old experience. Attending long training sessions without being able to go to full screen is tiring for my eyes.

    Please see this thread about sharing screens and going full screen:

    To quote:

    Microsoft is being divisive here.

    1. Silent update.
    2. Removing the option to have the choice.

    I'm really finding the feature annoying.
