Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

I have solved this issue - well for me at least! It seemed to be only happening (ie dropping from Teams only after 2-3 minutes) when I was not plugged in to mains power. So I thought it must be a power setting

I had it consistently UNTIL I changed the WiFi power settings in Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Power Options>Edit Plan Settings>Change Advanced Settings>Wireless Adaptor Settings>Power Saving Mode and putting both settings to Maximum performance.

This is for a Dell 5500 laptop and TaoTronic mono Bluetooth headset.

    Hope it works for others!

    *** UPDATE ***

Scrap that. After a couple of successful calls (20 mins each), the Bluetooth headset displayed exactly the same problem again and dropped from Teams after 2 mins and I had to change device setting back to PC Speakers/Mic.

I also experience the same issue, same devices.  Drivers and Teams are up to date.  Teams disconnects but when using any other application it does not.  This is obviously a problem for a lot of users, can this please be addressed and a response given?  It would be easy to verify the issue exists.

I have tested the same issue in browser mode and I see same issue in browser as well....but only with teams and Skype. This issue of BT headset getting disconnecting does not happen in any other tool.

Microsoft team...please help resolve this issue.

I have seen exact same issue. The Sony WH-CH710N headset headset keeps dropping from Teams. We have to manually go and change to some other device shown in devices and then change it back to Sony HS.

Can you please help close this issue ASAP? This is so annoying issue only with MS teams (And Skype as well).
