Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

I have JBL Endurance JUMP, sometimes I use it for teams meetings. I had noticed this issue of disconnection from MS Teams meeting on my laptop (occurred always after around 5 mins of the meeting). After playing around a bit with device settings in MS teams, I was able to overcome this issue. I am not sure how it made the difference and solved the problem but it worked.

I had to select "Headphones" instead of "Headset" under Audio devices "Custom Setup"

Likewise. my headset is Jabra Evolve 75. It gets disconnected whenever a comments is typed in the chat, during which I hear a system sound, then my headset gets disconnected for like 10 seconds before it gets reconnected. Impossible to listen to meetings like that.

Yes, I agree. It is frustrating. At least there are some good alternative meeting platforms that one can use in the meantime ;-)

Just to back up the thread - I have exactly the same issue - using Bose QC. Have tried all the obvious steps.

its an unusually round number - happens precisely every 40mins.

usually just re-clicking the pairing on the headset works, but only if you get to it in time.

I initially thought the problem was power management or something to do with the bluetooth driver - but have narrowed it down to only happening with the MS teams app.

Any solutions provided for this issue yet? I'm still losing MS Surface keyboard and mouse during teams meetings.
