Unable to login to Teams - That code didn't work. Check the code and try again

I am trying to login into Microsoft Teams. I enter email address and password and all is good. It then asks for my mobile number and sends me a txt msg with a 4 digit code. I enter this code and then get the following error: "That code didn't work. Check the code and try again." Obviously I have entered the code correctly. What to do next to get this resolved?

    Hi,

    I too am having extreme difficulty signing in and need to utilise Teams asap. I have now got to the point that I have requested the 'code' to many times and have to try again tomorrow which I do not have the luxury as I require to log in for meetings early in the morning. I have even attempted to try a second email address and the same thing is now happening.

    I receive the code, put the exact code in and it advises me "That code didn't work. Check the code and try again" I have done this repeatedly knowing the code is correct each time and now it will not allow me to go any further.

    Please help.

    Hello

    I have the same issue. But I need the same phone number on two accounts. One is my company account and one is my private account. I only have one phone number. Due to that i can not use with either accounts teams.

    The error message I get when I enter the SMS Code is also very missleading and must be changed asap I think. This is from the UX perspective a very bad experience.

    Setting up zoom or any other competitors Video-Conferencing app is way easier.

    I am also having this issue, I have attempted to log into teams and successfully receive the verification code only to be told that "That code didn't work. Check the code and try again" The code is not incorrect, so I am not sure why this is happening. I have also now tried a second email address with the same issue.

    This isn't complicated, why is it failing, either your procedure is confusing/wrong or they system isn't functioning as designed.

    Can you please help me resolve this.

    You need to log in to MS Team free organization account instead of MS Team free personal account. If you still have not signed up yet then please visit the following article to find out how to sign up for MS Team free organization account: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sign-up-for-teams-free-70aaf044-b872-4c32-ac47-362ab29ebbb1

    I'd also like to let you know MS Team free organization account offers more features than MS Team free personal account as well as to be able to be used in the MS Team desktop app unlike the MS Team free personal account. So, feel free to take advantage of the opportunity.
