Unable to login to Teams - That code didn't work. Check the code and try again

I am trying to login into Microsoft Teams. I enter email address and password and all is good. It then asks for my mobile number and sends me a txt msg with a 4 digit code. I enter this code and then get the following error: "That code didn't work. Check the code and try again." Obviously I have entered the code correctly. What to do next to get this resolved?

    You really helped by getting me to try logging in via two different links. This proved to me that the telephone number was already linked to a Microsoft account.

    When I tried to login via  https://teams.microsoft.com and I got the error message - 'This phone number has already been taken. Sign in with that number or use a different one.' I decided to login to Microsoft with this telephone number as the username. I then had to finish the setup of this account by adding an email address (I created a new one). Once this was all setup I removed the telephone number from the account.

    I then added the telephone number to my real Microsoft account and once that was done I was able to use Teams.

    Hi, can you please help me too? I have a personal account and when I try to log in, my password works, my phone number works, I get the code, it asks my pass one more time and then it goes "This phone number has already been taken. Sign in with that number or use a different one". When I go to my account to check the number, the field is empty. And I cant fill it in, but I get the code. I dont get it. I have a job interview in a couple of days, so I have to fix this, please :-)

    Hello,

    I have tried using both of these links and I am having the same issue with both which is that I enter my email address correctly, I enter my password correctly and I enter my phone number correctly, I receive a code but then I enter the code and the message "That code didn't work. Check the code and try again" but it is definitely the right code. I have also tried using two separate email accounts and I have no idea what to do. If you could help that would be great
