Unable to login to Teams - That code didn't work. Check the code and try again

I contacted MS support people yesterday and was advised that even though I have been trying for several days to access teams that I should wait 24 hours after contacting them and then try again - well guess what? I have waited 24 hours and there is absolutely no change whatsoever - I still cannot get on to Teams. Getting the same error messages as before.

I think this is about normal for MS support. Teams is peripheral product. I did manage to get it to work on one laptop (the free version) but it was woefully frustrating - very limited options e.g with only 2 participants it was impossible to put them side by side. No recording facility. Just a very basic threadbare apology for video conferencing in stark contrast to the TV ads MS put out. I assume all the features the ad shows are only in the highest priced version. Support is pretty well non-existant. In contrast Zoom support has been excellent. They dont always get back right away but they DO get back and take on board end user suggestions. (2 of mine have been taken on board - probably also suggested by other). Microsoft seem to ignore end users both the problems they are having and/or suggestions to make it easier. As for claiming it is a HAPPY place  - try telling that to my daughter who was fuming ever more than me at TEAMS last night!  What you have said is typical. MS used to have excellent support for a time after a period when it was appalling but seem to have gone back to the appalling stage again.

I tried that (i.e. not using the initial 0) It refused to accept it as a valid phone number. I put number in including the leading 0 it accepted that - sent code to number- got code in message which it accepted then asked to verify password. Used same one as before (that worked) STILL get the you have input invalid code - back to same old endless treadmill and getting absolutely no-where and wasting endless time and mu opinion of Microsoft and Teams dropping like a stone at every attempt! I just give up,  

I contrast I used ZOOM this morning  - worked like a dream did everything I needed  no hassle logging in.

I think the difference is that Zoom is their core and only product so they HAVE to make it work to stay in business. Teams is a cobbled together response to Zoom but is a peripheral product so MS don't have to care about it working or not. Its not their bread and butter.

I appreciate the help to get this to work but I have totally given up on Teams - just too much unnecessary hassle.

Try this:

Remove the first "0" from phone number, and then enter the code.

Someone said it works.

This has just worked for me.

If the people this didn't work for, try again, it may work this time :)
