Unable to login to Teams - That code didn't work. Check the code and try again

It seems I  have  3 different Microsoft accounts  1 for Windows 1 for  office365 and 1 for Microsoft live

I also get a request to register my phone number as a user login.  It seems when I started trying to  use teams it wouldn't allow me to use any of these but insisted on setting up yet another user name/log in . Its the one that keep nagging for a phone number. I log in - log in accepted Iy asked for phone verification I get sent a code  - I enter the code  - its accepted then it asks me to re-enter my passowrd  - which had worked at the start  then comes up saying the code (from text message just sent) is invalid.

However I discovered  if I log in to my office 365 account which accept my password for that and click on teams it seems to load it .   not sure if it is a web version or picking up the stand alone version (which run as a stand alone wont allow me to log in) Whatever loads iit appears to be the only just usable featureless free version. Confused???   Thats why I get totally confusing with it all!!!

Frankly compared with Zoom (which I thought I might switch from but am staying with)  Teams is a muddles mess and it is really hit and miss (mostly the laterr) if you can get it to work.  Ive basically given up on it not worth any more hassle. Microsoft can waste as many millions as they like advertising but it wont convince me. If they spent those millions of advertising money on developing it into a really good. easy to use feature-full product it would be better for everyone

THis teams business and the different versions is really confusing. i hadn't realised there are 2 different versions one for teams.live.com and a different one for teams,microsoft.com

I have a Live account (which I used to use for Outlook.com - as against outlook in Office.

I have an office.com account used for office 365 (or whatever it is called now - the name changes are so confusing)

I have a miccroft.com account for Windows.

I think it is the live.com account  that is giving problems.

However as you can see the whole Microsoft system is a total mess.

I think teams is getting totally confused by me logging in microsoft.com. However logging in teams.live.com is impossible with this constant problem of going though the log in and at the end it refuses to accept a perfectly valid code that has been input from the e-mail with the code.

Confused?   I think you might be able to see why in the world this whole system if an absolutely confused mess.

Then having these 2 different versions of teams adds to the confusion!

To be honest I have wasted so much time on teams trying to get some sense out of it. The rare times when it has actually worked its feature set in the free version is so limited I have come to the conclusion its just not worth wasting any more time on it  but to go back to Zoom or explore something like Slack. The publicity gives the impression of a full feature wonderful happy service but sadly my experience is entirely the opposite.

What I REALLY need is an end to this confusion of having different logins for  live, office & Windows. For EVERYTHING to work with just ONE login and password. Until that happens I dont think its worth perusing using TEams. Most people I have spoken to detest it citing similar problems to what I have.

I have tried both and they do not work, I get the same error whereby the code texted to me does not work. Thanks
