Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

    I found the following trick to remove the Teams control bar:

    • click somewhere in Teams out of the control bar (this hides the control bar)
    • then right click at same place: this avoids the control bar to show again when I move the cursor

    Moving it outside the Teams screen works great at making the control task bar, until the second your mouse moves back as part of a snip-it screen capture -- then the darn bar pops back up again. It is not just blocking the screen for screen shots -- it intermittently blocks the speaker's name when in presentation mode too.

    How can we tell it to minimize, the way we can with the ribbon on microsoft's other apps, to tuck it out of site until we need it again?

    Similar problem.

    I don't need to take a screenshot, I just want to read the darn slide!

    The control bar keeps popping up, especially if I flick back and forth to another application (e.g. Notepad).

    This is a right royal pain.

    Possible solutions for Microsoft to implement:

    • add option for user to manually show or HIDE the control bar (maybe a cross on the control bar itself?);
    • allow the user to configure the control bar to make it SMALLER;
    • allow the user to manually MOVE the control bar;
    • by default don't overlay the control bar over the shared desktop (when not viewed fullscreen) — put it ELSEWHERE on screen by default.

    P.S. The problem I am having is when viewing TEAMS in a browser (Edge) while another person is sharing their screen.

    Then I get a context menu, which also needs to be hidden.

    Left clicking to hide the context menu causes the control bar to be shown again!

    I found that pressing the Esc button on the keyboard to hide the context menu works OK.

    But then the control bar soon comes back again with some other mouse movements or whatever.

    BTW, the problem I am describing is when viewing TEAMS in a browser (Edge).
