Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

    Hello Jennifer,

    Unfortunately, your proposal is very difficult to keep. And especially hard to follow if you need to make screen captures from time to time.

    Also you need to convince the person sharing his screen to keep the same rule. Otherwise you will continue to have a banner blinding the bottom of the screen!

    Agree with all posts on this issue. The control task bar is a deal breaker for adoption in my team at work. They are sticking to Skype during meetings because it is annoying and eclipses the presentation content. Please fix this issue as soon as possible.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thanks for your reply. Although the control bar does disappear in the way in which you described, it keeps coming back every time you move your mouse. (In long meetings, people may need to multi-task and use their mouse.) It does interfere with visibility of the full slide and with taking screen shots.This is a significant problem and one that is talked about frequently at our office.

    The user should be able to collapse this bar and display it again (like with other web meeting tools) as needed.

    It would be great if you could add this to your pipeline!

    Agree.  Insane to have the bar and participants using up precious vertical space on landscape monitors.  Put something in the title bar to hide/show them as well as a setting to have them not displayed by default.  99% of the time the bar is not needed and completely annoying. Please listen and fix!
