Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Moved from Unknown/other  / Windows 10  / Unknown/other

Hi BenBo_2020,

Thanks for post your question in our forum, I have moved your thread to the correct category “Office 365 for admins  / Microsoft Teams  / Office 365 for business”, if you have any other questions when using Teams in the future, welcome to post a new thread in our forum.

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

Hope above information helps. Please feel free to share the result with us or let me know if you need further suggestions, I'll happy to continue to help you.

Best regards,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, agree with Gretchen, Ben and Jonathan.

The control bar is hiding slides when someone is presenting, and it's a real hassle to get rid of it, to see the presentations in full.

Is there any plan for users to be able to move the control bar to (and out from) the toolbar? See for example Adobe Acrobat reader's solution.

    Best regards,

    Karl Friberg

    Hi everyone,

For me, your answer didn't answer the question. When someone is sharing the screen, it keeps popping up. When viewing incoming video from multiple participants it covers their name.

Can MS Teams allow us to move the toolbar to anywhere, including on a different monitor, just like Cisco WebEx provides?

    -Thank you for your assistance.

To get MSFT to consider a change to allow users to manually move or hide the tool bar you need to go to these links (Microsoft Teams UserVoice Forum) and vote for them:

    https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/38271673-reposition-the-control-bar

    https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40018222-hide-or-move-the-meeting-toolbar-during-a-teams-me

It seems this is the wrong thread to affect change, despite hundreds of replies and over fifty thousand views.
