Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

    This is not a helpful response.  Yes if you don't touch the mouse for a bit it does go away.  However if you are trying to do a screen capture, as soon as you touch the mouse again it comes back.  There is no way to get a full screen capture without that bar getting in the way and hiding some of the screen content.  This is a very big problem, especially if working to trouble shoot an issue with a client and you need to document their issue.

    This does not address the need.

    Most screen capture programs require the mouse in the screen to define the area being captured.

    Nope it does not go away. I had duplicate screen and extend display and same issue. It does not go away when i select the other screen display.

    Hi Teams support

    This question has been asked a few times and it seems to me that Teams support does not fully understand. This post is not about the Bar NOT disappearing rather it ís about switching it off. When taking regular screenshots as an example while someone is demonstrating how to do something the Teams task bar keeps popping up and we are asking how to stop that.

    My challenges:

    • Even when not taking screenshots each time I move my mouse over Teams the Bar jumps back and I have to wait a few seconds for it to disappear.
    • Often the Bar does not auto disappear and I have to click on Teams or on the Task bar and then move my mouse away.

    All in all the position and visibility of the Teams Task Bar is highly frustrating.
