Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

Chiru: I don't think Jennifer is reading these .

I think you want to hide the Teams Control Task Bar .

It can’t be done logically.

However..

if you have two monitors , put TEAMS on one monitor and put your mouse arrow on the second monitor . the TEAMS bar should disappear.

If you only have one monitor, try downsizing the entire TEAMS screen area to show some empty space behind it. Then move the mouse arrow to that empty space to either side off the TEAMS screen area and the TEAMS Control Bar should disappear

Hi Jennifer

Can you pls let me know if there is any option to enable the "auto hide" of the control task bar?

In my case the control task bar doesnt automatically hide and stays up through out the meeting.

Please help

Hi. I agree. I do not have anything to do with microsoft. I just found that if you do not put your mouse over teams the control stays hidden.

Hi Jennifer, it's pretty obvious by the trail of comments below that this solution is unsatisfactory.

Yes if you move the cursor outside the screen the box will hide, but as soon as you move the cursor it pops up again. Why would we want to move a cursor during a meeting..... To chat or comment, to visually navigate the screen, to reply to emails, in fact to do anything active other than just looking at the screen requires moving the cursor. See the problem??

Perhaps you've not used the platform - I'll happily invite you to one of my Teams meetings so you can see how unbelievably irritating it is to have users share documents but have a third of the doc hidden by the control box.

The request is simple - can users have the functionality to move or hide the control box (and be able to do other activities without it returning again)? I look forward to a positive response.
