Keynote presentation in Teams

Hi

When presenting a keynote through sharing the screen in a meeting, the participants do not see the full window when pressing "Start presentation". I have done this many times before, recently a couple of weeks ago. Presenting a full screen view for the other in the meeting. Now they see just a "freezed" image of the cursor in a desktop mode of the presentation.

Have there been a update so keynote and team are not communicating - or maybe a overload of users in the last weeks?

Would really like to get help to solving this issue!

    This is a worraround, but not a solution. When I share my 5K iMac Screen, Teams slows to a crwal from pushing that many pixels. Apart from that, sharing your screen means also sharing the mess on your desktop, incoming notifications,... 🙂

    Yes, it is not a final solution.

    But I'd rather try this way when I give lectures.

    About desktop. You can enlarge your Keynote window to the whole screen before sharing. This will not let others see your things on your desktop nut almost only Keynote.

    I am not quite sure but even when you share only Keynote in a slide show mode, does it also take all your screen?

    Of course, if you keep on doing multitask while having a meeting, this is not a good method.

    At least under some conditions for some people, better than nothing.

    Having the same issue on Teams desktop - share keynote pres with clients and go into pres mode, and it's stuck on first screen. Very embarrassing.

    Hello Teams Devs,

    This is really annoying, frustrating and mind-blowing issue.

    My use-case:

    When I open presentation in Keynote window I can let share this window (in layout mode).

    When I select menu item Play→Play Presentation in Window it cause unexpected stop sharing :(

    There is only following possibilities how to share Keynote presentation:

    1. Share fullscreen but it's bad because:
      • Retina macs (especially iMac 27) has "scaling" issue because clients with Windows 10 and standard resolution screens sees everything too small (Retina screen isn't scaled down to nonHiDPI resolution, workaround is change resolution of your Retina screen).

    Please try share fullscreen retina iMac 27" to anybody who has 13" Windows notebook.

    This is **** No. 1. - Retina macs (especially iMac 27) in full screen sharing generate huge network traffic. 2. Present PowerPoint presentation - Convert Keynote presentation to PowerPoint, click on Share icon and import *.pptx file into Teams

    Use "Browse" button (see screenshot). - Unfortunately: - Converting Keynote into PowerPoint isn't perfect 1:1. - You cannot share this way any other format except PowerPoint, you cannot share for example PDF

    This is **** No. 2. 3. If you have iOS device you can present in fullscreen mode on it and you can eliminate network traffic.

    Presenting anything (except fullscreen) in Teams is really nightmare for anyone on macOS.
