Keynote presentation in Teams

This is exactly the issue. Teams shares the desktop (on full screen sharing) but doesnt share the 2nd desktop created when Keynote presentation happens. I have worked around this issue having a 2nd monitor. If i share the 2nd monitor it works perfectly when im presenting, but when I do present from just my macbook pro, once i click Start presentation the full screen presentation creates a new desktop enviroment and it doesnt get shared. It has fully to do with the dynamics of keynote presentation, yet since most mac users love Keynote like me, Microsoft Teams should find a quick fix for the issue. Shouldn't be that complicated.

Hope this helps finding a solution soon as my whole company works on Teams enviroment on macbooks so we are getting hit bad by this bug to the point some are suggesting moving away from teams.

Hi,

I believe this issue is related to choosing the keynote 'Window' and when going full screen in your application window Teams detects that as a new 'Window' and stops sharing.

Try using the 'Desktop' share option. This way when you go to press 'Play' on your Keynote file it will keep sharing to Teams.

That's typical of anything Microsoft. Its like its designed by engineers that don't give a s#$% about normal humans and why Apple won the war.

Teams is not good for presentating. Why can zoom do things teams cant?

this problem is so ridiculous it simply drives me crazy. I had to give what would have been my 40th presentations since the start of Coronavirus and at the last minute I was told the group I was speaking to only used Microsoft Teams which I never used before. Coming from an apple only enviroment I had no idea how hard it turned out to be. I had to cancel my first date since I couldn't get the system to work and now have the same issue whereby once I go into presenting mode I can se absolutely nothing so have zero idea of what people are seeing with zero options to change the view.  Mind you, I use an iPad attached to my iMac which allows me to write over my presentation as I go along but Teams will not recognize the usb attached iPad nor the Apple Pencil so that alone killed how I present. amazing how bad Teams functions with its super unintelligent design layout

I know your frustration. My workaround (which is why I left Windows in the firet place: workarounds for everything), is to share my whole screen, then use Keynote as a remote on my iPad to scribble on my slides. Too many steps for a simple thing. I tried to used Whiteboard but it’s too slow. I hope we get better updates in the future. I trust Microsoft can get there.
