I've been on the betas for 2 days and all is good. I didnt need to wipe the Teams data :)

After logging into the Teams app, it keeps on refreshing every second making it impossible to work until the app is reopened. This is a recurring problem and half the time it works smoothly, other times it doesn't.

And it's back.. strange how it took a few days and switching to a new WiFi connection.

I joined the Beta programme for Authenticator and this has solved by Teams refresh looping issue. Thanks for the fix!!!
Turn off the wifi on your phone start the teams app. Wait about 30 seconds and then start the wifi. It's dumb but it worked for me.
FWIW, I use Pi-Hole to reduce data theft and privacy violations.
It appears Teams needed to connect to...
mobile.pipe.aria.microsoft.com
in.appcenter.ms
...so I whitelisted these; still no joy.
Switched to cellular data, authenticated, then switched back to WiFi.
Teams may also be attempting to connect to other URLs.
