External Presenters in Teams Live Events

Can external presenters be tied to a Gmail account and present?  Are there limitations because we tested with two external presenters after adding them into the Tenant as guests and they couldn't join and if they did join they couldn't present.

Where is a list of steps for setting up an external presenter?  Are their videos to show a presenter how to share their screen?  Why is it that you can only queue up the first item and presenter and send live and you can't queue up the next...there is no point to the queue if it can't be used to get stuff ready to show.

Why can't we include audio in a presenters' material?

Correct and you are spot on with all of the above.  Unfortunately, when you have a very constricted monetary stream you have to do things a little differently.  We can't afford to have that many Zoom licenses and both platforms have their challenges.  Our other option is YouTube Live...that may be the way we have to go but we shall see.

it appears that you are adding this "guest" as a user in your azure. Correct me if i am wrong. This would make them part of the company, and not by definition, a guest. Also probably a bad idea for many reasons, even though it does solve the problem. (security, access to corporate resources, having to involve IT department instead of being self serve, administrative burden creating and destroying users for one offs, remembering to kill their account later, etc)

We ended up having to pay for a zoom account to do this now. Zoom just works 100% of the time and in all situations.

So now, whenever we want to have guests join us, we use zoom instead of teams. very sucky but microsoft is not what one would consider nimble in responding to users concerns. I've been working with M$ for over 20 years and they have never cared about the user. They dont have to, they have our money.

    Hello All

As usage of Meetings and Live Events, has increase many fold, here is an attempt to create a document on specific topic of Having Guest Presenter on Live Events. We need simple documents - which allow non-IT experts to do these things, because in many small setups, there is no IT specialist.

I am not a professional IT person, but went through some search and then trial and error.

Hope that more knowledgable persons improve this document.Guest Presenter for Live Events document

Feel free to copy the document and improve it and also point out any errors.

    Regards

I had not thought of that! I may give that a try, too. Thank you.
