I want to know about teams M1 support as teams through rosetta glitches and Touch Bar controls especially leave button doesn't work. When can we get an arm based M1 apple silicon optimized teams?

Absolutely agree. This is the worst memory hog i have ever seen. Almost 2GB RAM on a calm day? Get your sh.. together.
I agree, just rebuild the app with Electron 14. Is that so hard?

Just re-build Teams using a new version of Electron, and that's it.
Teams is a huge piece of poo, and your attitude towards the non-Windows users is sickening. How can a multi-trillion-dollar company be able to get away with that kind of stuff?
Here's what I did. Kind of a hack, but so far it is working out nicely.
Edge is also compiled for M1, so I opened Teams in Edge and made it an "app". Voila, M1 optimized teams in its own window.

Microsoft only has to update Electron to support Apple Silicon like the M1 which is fairly easy to do. Electron 11 (which supports it) has been released on October 2020 already and we're now already at Electron 14.
Thing is, I don't think they will. They are moving away from electron and going for Edge Webview2. Problem is, the closest we have to a release date for Mac support is post 2021.
So don't hold your breath: this will take a while. Meanwhile, using a browser isn't a bad solution. Chromium based browsers like the new Edge or Google Chrome are fully supported now (screen sharing having been implemented recently).
