Installing Teams on a MAC 10.10.5

I am using Office 365 remotely for work (I am a teacher) and I am trying to use Teams, but I can't seem to get the online version to load.  One of my collegeages said to download it.  I was able to download the suite, but Teams was not there.  When I go to the App store, I also could not find Teams.  Is it possible to download Teams onto a Mac?

Thanks for posting back.

According to the reference: Hardware requirements for Teams on a Mac, the Operating system is required Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later one of the three most recent versions of macOS (you'd better view the reference to get the latest information). Please update your system, OR you could use Teams for Web to instead. Sorry for the inconvenience happens to you.

    Please change another browser or open a private browser, then access teams.microsoft.com again. If the issue still exists, since this thread is closed, please post a new thread about the issue and provide the screenshot of the error message.

    Hello George,

    This isn't particularly helpful in that Teams just doesn't seem to work -- at all -- on El Capitan (10.11.6).   Simply locks up and goes back to the "You're not on teams" splash screen that seems to just be a generic screen (even though the account does -- in fact -- exist).

    Likewise Teams for the Web App just seems to lock up for Safari.
