MS Teams and network drops

So I keep having an issue where people are losing network connection while on teams meeting while using a dock. We have Lenovo USB-C docks, but when you are connected to a teams meeting with a network cable plugged into the dock. It drops the meeting, it could be 5 mins into the meeting, 20 mins into the meeting. I cannot find a connection to the length of time it gives you online before you drop.

It only happens to you if you have a USB-C Lenovo Dock, plugged into a Lenovo laptop, with a network cable plugged into it. If you pulled the cable and work off wifi it NEVER has a problem.

I have done dock driver updates, dock firmware update.

Any ideas? has anyone else had this problem?

So good to find this discussion. I am having the same problem.

    Have tried three ThinkPads (a 570 and 2 590's) and 2 different Lenovo docks - types 40AS and 40AF.

All combinations drop the Teams call - with one other party on the call, or multiple.

Running 0 or 1 or 2 monitors over HDMI - makes no difference.

Have updated firmware on both docks, ThinkPads. Am current with Windows 10 and Office365 updates.

After call drops, computer has lost Internet connection and have to reboot the computer to get a network connection back.

Only solution is to plug the LAN cable directly into the computer and skip the dock entirely.

    Anybody figured this out already?

    I have the same issue.

ThinkPad P53s with Lenovo dock 40AS.

Network connection stops working at random moments during MS Teams meetings.

Disconnecting and re-connecting ethernet cable during meeting fixes the issue temporary.

Issue ONLY appears during MS Teams meetings, but is still present after meeting ends.

It is the entire network connection that stops working, affecting all applications on the PC.

I tried updating both dock drivers and dock firmware, but it did not fix the issue.

Issue does NOT appear when connected over WiFi or PCs own internal ethernet adapter.

Also issue does not appear when using a USB ethernet adapter.

    My current workaraound:

Instead I use a StarTech USB to ethernet adaptor connected to the docking station.

This results in a reliable ethernet conenction through the dock:

    [Laptop] <--USB--> [Dock] <--USB--> [StarTech] <--Ethernet

    Hi Folks!

We have the same issue and we want to test Monitors with docking station builded in, instead of external USB-C docks. We will see next week.

And we are sure that this is not happening with ZOOM app.

We have exact same problem here with Thinkpad T490 and T590 with USB-C Gen 2 docking.

    It's driving me nuts!

Same exact issue with Lenovo USB-C Dock and T480s laptop.  I'm typically on 4-6 Teams meetings per day and it will drop at least once/day.  Timing varies, but usually 15-20 minutes in.  None of the resets/updates work for this issue.  Hopefully someone posts a solution.
