MS Teams and network drops

So I keep having an issue where people are losing network connection while on teams meeting while using a dock. We have Lenovo USB-C docks, but when you are connected to a teams meeting with a network cable plugged into the dock. It drops the meeting, it could be 5 mins into the meeting, 20 mins into the meeting. I cannot find a connection to the length of time it gives you online before you drop.

It only happens to you if you have a USB-C Lenovo Dock, plugged into a Lenovo laptop, with a network cable plugged into it. If you pulled the cable and work off wifi it NEVER has a problem.

I have done dock driver updates, dock firmware update.

Any ideas? has anyone else had this problem?

Same problem: losing network connection while on MS Teams meeting. Configuration: Lenovo Ideapad 5 15IIL05 - WIN10  - connected via USB-C with a hub: Abask or Anker - PLEASE NOTE: both hubs are 1000 mbps (1 gbps) capable. However, when using a 100 mbps capable USB-C ethernet hub (no brand) there is a very stable netwerk connection while using MS Teams (never had a problem).

Lenovo customer support did some analyses and focussed on the Realtek family USB-C controller. The realtek driver was updated but the problem was not fixed.

Again: working with a 100 mbps capable USB-C ethernet hub works well - however, not my preferred configuration for working on my LAN.

I've found over about 150 endpoints this issue only occurs with Realtek hardware running a specific driver version. We've found the latest updates seem to resolve the issue as did rolling back the Realtek driver, forget the driver version at the moment.

Connecting to wifi or using Thinkpads that have built in ethernet also serves as a workaround, im guessing because they're Intel based hardware and drivers.

you'll need to update or roll back any Realtek based NICs or use a different vendor's NIC, in our case lenovo docks use realtek but the laptops with dedicated ethernet all seem to be intel hardware and drivers.
