I tried everything to make it work and one day activating the company VPN to browse it started working and it's been working fine ever since.

So I decided it's not something broken locally in my Mac, but something remotely because after doing all kinds of stuff, it broke or it worked randomly.

I use a Mac.  I've tried clearing the cache, I've reinstalled the app but Teams still won't load.  Or if it does, there's just a big blank page.   What do I do?

I have the same problem.  Teams was working on my Mac until a few days ago.

Now it just hangs with a busy cursor.

I can tell there was a Teams SW update because it is was working differently for two days before it failed.

The update changed meeting sessions to be in separate windows, which is fine, not part of my complaint.

I tried moving Teams to trash and clearing the cache with instructions I saw online, then reinstalling,

but this had no effect.  Teams just hangs.  I see the application screen with navigation, borders, etc,

but clicking on these does nothing but paint a busy cursor.

I have the exact same issue, running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2016 MacBook Pro 13".

    What I've tried:

    • Reinstalling the Teams application
    • Clearing the caches and application support folder; I've done it often enough that I created an automation to do it with one click.

In my case, I'm trying to use my corporate account on the Mac and one of 2 things happens:

    1. Most often, I get a message that says "You can't get there from here" after entering my login/PW info a couple of times, right after the step where I enter the authentication code that was texted to me. The error detail is this:

    Request Id: 4ed2619e-e37b-43f2-bc57-f0197a236a00

    Correlation Id: 7e6dcf25-a415-4845-8ae8-338d5ea44120

    Timestamp: 2020-07-14T01:09:18.342Z

App name: Microsoft Teams Web Client

    App id: 5e3ce6c0-2b1f-4285-8d4b-75ee78787346

    IP address: 98.151.87.1

    Device identifier: Not available

    Device platform: macOS

    Device state: Unregistered

    1. After entering the authentication code, Teams goes into a loop where it flashes a blank screen, then the "Loading Microsoft Teams..." splash screen, then back to a blank screen in an endless loop.

I've had both happen fairly recently.

There seem to be authentication failures in the Teams logs, and eventually the app looks like it's timing out:

    Mon Jul 13 2020 15:23:58 GMT-1000 (Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time) <864> -- event -- status: timeout, scenario: 34c6db3d-cef9-4141-9057-8bb063510262, scenarioName: desktop_enable_spellchecker, name: desktop_enable_spellchecker, step: stop, sequence: 1, delta: 120005, scenarioDelta: 120005, elapsed: 130716, stepDelta: 120005, vdiMode: 0, eventpdclevel: 2, Scenario.Name: desktop_enable_spellchecker, Scenario.Step: stop, Scenario.Status: timeout,

This has been an issue from the very first; Teams has NEVER worked on my Mac, which just seems sloppy. I can't believe there's not a fix for this yet; an app with this many issues has no business being available.
