Requiring us to chase after Microsoft engineers is unacceptable.  You know what the problems are so notify your superiors in Microsoft.   On second thought, Apple users should just contact Apple to bring us and companies a superior app and solution.

This thread has been going for such a long time because no-one has the iron clad answer to the many issues experienced by Teams on Macs. It seems that if you fiddle around with different options you sometimes hit on the one that works for you.

Until Microsoft sorts this out, this thread will continue!

    Hi everyone,

I don´t know if this is going to help you guys but it worked for me.

After some time struggling with the instructions found in several threads, usually all of them telling me to delete stuff from some folders, my brother told me that for he to be able to use Slack, he had to be logged in a browser first before being able to work with the application.

We gave that ¨solution¨ a try and we got logged in https://teams.microsoft.com/, using Chrome. After the login, we closed the ¨teams¨ app and opened it again. This time it worked properly.

    Hope it helps.

I have the exact same issue, running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2016 MacBook Pro 13".

    What I've tried:

    • Reinstalling the Teams application
    • Clearing the caches and application support folder; I've done it often enough that I created an automation to do it with one click.

In my case, I'm trying to use my corporate account on the Mac and one of 2 things happens:

    1. Most often, I get a message that says "You can't get there from here" after entering my login/PW info a couple of times, right after the step where I enter the authentication code that was texted to me. The error detail is this:

    Request Id: 4ed2619e-e37b-43f2-bc57-f0197a236a00

    Correlation Id: 7e6dcf25-a415-4845-8ae8-338d5ea44120

    Timestamp: 2020-07-14T01:09:18.342Z

App name: Microsoft Teams Web Client

    App id: 5e3ce6c0-2b1f-4285-8d4b-75ee78787346

    IP address: 98.151.87.1

    Device identifier: Not available

    Device platform: macOS

    Device state: Unregistered

    1. After entering the authentication code, Teams goes into a loop where it flashes a blank screen, then the "Loading Microsoft Teams..." splash screen, then back to a blank screen in an endless loop.

I've had both happen fairly recently.

There seem to be authentication failures in the Teams logs, and eventually the app looks like it's timing out:

This has been an issue from the very first; Teams has NEVER worked on my Mac, which just seems sloppy. I can't believe there's not a fix for this yet; an app with this many issues has no business being available.
