MS Teams for mac unable to share desktop or other screens - app and online versions

In MS Teams , I cannot share my Desktop / Application Windows. Teams alerts me that it needs Screen Recording permissions, although I have actually granted these before, and the regarding boxes in System Preferences are already ticked.

I have the newest version of Catalina and Teams. Nevertheless I don´t know exactly which applications are blocking the Teams screen sharing and why., I have followed all suggestions such as using the online version, same issue occurs, removing VPNs and rebooting and updating apps and the mac itself......I use Teams constantly for work and this is causing me a major hassle!

Thanks

This is the solution I came upon as well.

Now... @Microsoft Support, can you please promote this answer? When I came to this thread, I saw a slew of non-answers, some of them official, making me think it was not solved. So I bounced. After I solved it myself, I thought, I can't be that smart -- let's see if there is a similar answer somewhere else, to confirm I'm not doing something horrible privacy-wise, etc. I discovered it on page 18 of the posts -- I first had to go to page 19, saw some "it's working!" posts, and started paging backward. Pretty inefficient, right?

I would think it would be pretty easy for you to create a community resource like Stack Overflow that allows the user to see the best solutions, not just the first answers. I mean... you're Microsoft! And you own GitHub!! Come on, help a user out!

I used kind of workaround 3. As  'Screen Recording' was already disabled, I just enabled it and sharing desktop worked fine.

    Thanks a lot

Click the Apple menu on your Mac, go to System Preferences > Security > Privacy.
Then choose Screen recording and click the lock icon to save changes. (Input admin password if asked.)
Put a checkmark on the box next to Microsoft Teams.
Finally, click Agree on the notification window to restart your Mac.

Agreed - this does not work - you get some windows but not a full selection of open windows including specifically a powerpoint window
