I sorted it out. I just needed to click the padlock when I went in to the privacy settings so I could change the permission.

In MS Teams , I cannot share my Desktop / Application Windows. Teams alerts me that it needs Screen Recording permissions, although I have actually granted these before, and the regarding boxes in System Preferences are already ticked.
I have the newest version of Catalina and Teams. Nevertheless I don´t know exactly which applications are blocking the Teams screen sharing and why., I have followed all suggestions such as using the online version, same issue occurs, removing VPNs and rebooting and updating apps and the mac itself......I use Teams constantly for work and this is causing me a major hassle!
Thanks

I had this problem, too. I never got an error message when I tried to share my screen, just the 'spinning wheel of death' that never stopped. It was corrected by going into system preferences and checking the Screen Recording box in Team ON.
Thanks.

Good evening,
my name is Maria, i am contacting you in regards to my issues with microsoft teams sharing screen. Can you please help me out ? Thank you !
I am currently running into this issue on my Mac and I am desperate for a solution - as a designer, I need to be able to share my screen. Thanks.
I was able to go into System Preferences, then SECURITY AND PRIVACY, Then SCREEN RECORDING. I had to click on the lock on the bottom to be able to make changes, but after clicking beside MS Teams, I closed out the System Preferences... then closed out MS Teams (had to make sure to "quit" TEAMS and restart it. After doing all of this I was able to share my screen.
I hope this helps.
