MS Teams for mac unable to share desktop or other screens - app and online versions

In MS Teams , I cannot share my Desktop / Application Windows. Teams alerts me that it needs Screen Recording permissions, although I have actually granted these before, and the regarding boxes in System Preferences are already ticked. 

I have the newest version of Catalina and Teams. Nevertheless I don´t know exactly which applications are blocking the Teams screen sharing and why., I have followed all suggestions such as using the online version, same issue occurs, removing VPNs and rebooting and updating apps and the mac itself......I use Teams constantly for work and this is causing me a major hassle!

    Yes this seems to work, with systems preferences open. Thank you.

    It is a bit annoying but it seems to only need to do this once when you first login to Teams and doesn't require it for every video call or chat. When Teams is closed and re-opened then you would need to do it again. 

    Thanks for your help. Hopefully there will be a more concrete fix to come out soon.

    Hi, yes, you have to leave 'systems preference' open while you use Teams.

    But what if you go into Security and Privacy -> Privacy -> Screen Recording and Microsoft Teams isn't even listed there?  Its listed for microphone, etc, buy not Screen Recording.

    Do you mean you have to leave "System Preferences" open or you have to shut it first before launching Teams?

    I had another user try it on a MacBook Pro running the same version of OS, it seems to work if he unticks and re-ticks Microsoft Teams in Security & Privacy --> Privacy --> Screen Recording --> Microsoft Teams, when prompted to do this after starting a video call (screen share). He has to then quit teams and re-launch Teams for it to work, but he seems to have to do this process every time!!

    A more concrete solution would be good, not sure if it is Microsoft or Apple breaking this, as it seems to work on older versions of MacOS so it would point to a problem with Catalina.
