In MS Teams , I cannot share my Desktop / Application Windows. Teams alerts me that it needs Screen Recording permissions, although I have actually granted these before, and the regarding boxes in System Preferences are already ticked.
I have the newest version of Catalina and Teams. Nevertheless I don´t know exactly which applications are blocking the Teams screen sharing and why., I have followed all suggestions such as using the online version, same issue occurs, removing VPNs and rebooting and updating apps and the mac itself......I use Teams constantly for work and this is causing me a major hassle!
Thanks

I cannot share my screen on teams in mac, please help
Hi I would like to say that Ms teams screen sharing is also not working for me. It is already enabled for screen sharing on my Macs security preferences. However, when I launch teams it refuses to screen share and I am presented with the dialogue box stating I need to enable screen sharing via preferences, despite it already being enabled! I tried uninstalls, clean wipes etc. No luck.
I have found aworkaround for Mac OSX MS Teams screen sharing issue / not working is;
This worked on OSX Catalina 10.15.7 & Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.26266
**Update 5/11/20:**I have figured out that the issue seems to be with a dual monitor setup. My Mac is plugged into an external monitor so I am using my external monitor in tandem with Mac's internal monitor. When Dual screen setup is enabled then you have to go through the above process to enable screen sharing. If I just have a single screen enabled (this could be using my external monitor and having my mac closed in clamshell so it's internal monitor is off, or just with the laptop with no display connected) screen sharing works, regardless of whether the teams app is full screen or windowed.
NB. I have found that when you quit teams screen sharing will stop working so you will have to go through the entire process again until Microsoft fixes it!
Considering this was flagged by a user and acknowledged by a Microsoft agent in February 2020 and it is now November 2020 I would say this is pretty poor Microsoft. I had audio issues with zoom once. The app was updated in less than two days. Microsoft has not updated this in several months. Poor effort. This issue had a significant impact on a key presentation I'm giving, as I'm sure it has no doubt affected other Mac users.
Ultimately I think the solution is use Zoom which has worked so well out of the box. Encourage your colleagues to use Zoom until Microsoft takes Mac users seriously and addresses its software issues in a timely manner.
Personally, I'm not sure I'm keen on rewarding a company with this lack of attentiveness to addressing the needs of customers on a critical issue without a strong assurance Mac user experience will be addressed much more promptly in the future. (I emailed Microsoft about this issue a couple of weeks ago with no reply!)
I'd like to know when will this be fixed Microsoft? How will prevent critical issues from taking so long to resolve on Mac in the Future?
