Teams app is stuck on 'loading' on Mac

I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

    So with a new Mac there is a glitch and it hands on loading TEAMS.

    you can try reinstalling but that doesn't work you need to help it along.

    1. Open up Calander... go to a TEAMS meeting you have previously scheduled (if you don't have one, log onto the online webs browser version and quickly set one up and email yourself the link)
    2. Click the Link, it will open up your camera. close that program and then click on TEAM on your MAC

    WALA! it somehow fixes the problem!

    You're a genius, Sean! Tried all the other suggestions and nothing worked. So grateful to you for sharing this.

    To summarize, the fix is to join a Teams meeting in the web version of Teams. Can be a meeting with yourself. That activates the camera and mic and then triggers the stuck Teams application to open. After that it opens every time!

    !!!!! thanks doing this exactly 1) delete the teams app move to trash 2) - use finder (or terminal, etc) in finder-goto- " ~/Library/ " 3) in there, find Application Support/Microsoft/Teams delete all or drag to trash - 4) Empty trash folder 5) re-install Teams

    worked fine started a chat window (as no other way i could find like hit devices in the user profile) than and chose correct microphone and video input
