I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

I was struggling with this for a very long time and the ONLY thing that worked for me is:

     - completely remove the Teams app

     - remove the Teams from the Library (cd Library/"Application Support"/Microsoft)

     - Once you start up Teams again, you need to log in with a different account (a guest account, a friend's account, etc.) Then log out of that account

     - Log back in with your original account

This is the only thing that has worked for me. Good luck all!

I had this issue on a new install of Teams on a new Mac Laptop today.

Saw the "loading Microsoft Teams" dialog and a second Teams window in the background which showed a menu bar, but a blank, all white main content frame where normally Teams would display it's chats etc.

    Tried reinstalling Teams. No improvement.

Tried deleting the contents of the ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams directory. No Improvement after re-entering the user login.

The Chrome version of Teams web client worked immediately.

The Safari version of the Teams web client failed until I changed Safari's Privacy settings, where I had to untick the "Prevent cross-site tracking", to get Teams web client to work.

For the Teams app, I had to delete the ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams  to cause a sign-out. Then log in as a different user (which worked), then sign out and in as the original intended user, which allowed Teams to retrieve the correct content.

Not a solution that is able to be resolved without help from colleagues or IT support.

    Hi There folks,

I have had this same issue and it was driving me nuts, especially during interviews where there seemed to be some odd thing happening whereby I could not upload or open my PP presentations using the browser-based app.  I think that I have sorted it out this morning though, and just so folk know, I had tried everything on all of the forums to no avail, I literally spent a day trying different things with no success, but now I think I have it sorted, for the record I am using High Sierra.

Seems the issue is with the Mac OS security settings, this is what I did:

    system preferences> security & privacy

Now navigate the tab ribbon to the "privacy" section, from here navigate to the accessibility option in the left hand menu.  You should then see a box entitled "Allow the apps below to control your computer".  Below this, there are +/- buttons, clinch the

    • button and add MS teams from the applications folder.  As I had uninstalled then reinstalled, I found mine at the top of the list, not in it's alphabetical order.

Once this was done, I was able to load MS teams.

    I hope that this helps.

    Kind Regards, Pete :-)

This one worked for me. Thanks a ton!
