Teams app is stuck on 'loading' on Mac

I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

    I ran into this same issue and with a little digging I found this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sign-up-and-create-a-teams-free-org-with-a-gmail-account-5e6db51b-1edf-400d-bf55-51366cf4384e

    following the instructions here, I was able to create a new account online and then login through the application.

    Just a coincidence indeed it would seem. 

    I had just finished a meeting 15 minutes before and closed the app for quiet time before my next meeting. 

    Open it up and the problem was present.

    Very poor programming/service by Microsoft yet again. C'est la Vie!

    So I just spent over an hour disinstalling and reinstalling and deleting stuff for nothing... Is that it?

    Just a coincidence that it coincided with clicking on invite.

    This finally worked for me. My Teams stopped working after somebody sent an invitation to join their organization as a guest. I couldn't connect to their organisaient and after that, Teams either stuck on loading or opened to unresponsive blank screen.

    I uninstalled Teams, deleted the folder, cache etc in Finder and then deleted the Teams info in keychain. It still didn't work until I did exactly the same on the other computer in the office that is also used for Teams. Strange but it's finally OK. Fingers crossed.

    These options did not help as the issue was with the MSTeams server.

    Nothing to do with the Mac App!  Wasted one hour trying to fix an issue that was due to MS server.

    It would be helpful if Microsoft could implement feedback information on MSTeams loading to say a server is not functioning correctly rather than leave an Application hanging for hours.
