Teams app is stuck on 'loading' on Mac

I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

    I ran into the same issue this morning. It appears to be a problem with login / authentication. It's as if the user session for the Teams desktop app has expired, thus the app can not log itself in to join a meeting. But for some reason instead of showing a login widget, the app instead gets stuck in an infinite "loading..." state.

    Reinstalling the app won't fix this problem. You need to clear the preferences and the application cache. Here's what worked for me:

    1. Quit the teams app or force quit if needed.
    2. In your account's Library directory, remove both the ~/Library/Application Support/Teams AND the ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams folders. This should completely reset your login state.
    3. Finally, restart Teams and you should now be able to login and join meetings again.

    This problem is, frankly, absurd. I'm sure that the Microsoft developers could fix it. They just don't care. Instead the company hires know-nothing level 1 support staff to fill these threads with useless tips like "upgrade your OS" or "try an antivirus scan". It's pathetic.

    Removed all the microsoft cache (from keychain), logged in on teams web, created a meeting and joined via link, then clicked on "open app".

    Worked like a charm,

    I am running macOs BigSur 11.3.1 and facing the same issue, where teams keeps loading and loading....

    I tried all the ways mentioned here and spent a lot of ways finding out the issue.
    I even reset my mac to factory settings.
    Finally I logged in my Microsoft teams on browser and what actually worked for me was surprising. 
    Below is what I did:

    1. Uninstalled Microsoft Teams from Mac.
    2. Logged in to office365 and went to my teams account which is - https://teams.microsoft.com/
    3. From right top corner > click on profile icon > Download the desktop app ( see attached )
    4. As soon as I downloaded Teams for mac from here, I installed and it worked perfectly for me.

    I cannot believe this worked. Slow clap (with so so much sarcasm) for Microsoft yet again - the only way to open one of their apps is to trick your computer into launching the app and go in the backdoor. Wow. THANKS SEAN!
