Teams app is stuck on 'loading' on Mac

I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

    thanks, I deleted "Teams" in Library -- and the application as well. Rebooted my computer, tried to reload the app and it still does not work. I get an error message when trying to join a meeting "Something's wrong with the meeting or the link you're using to join it" -- any other suggestions?

    Where in the library folder am I looking for Microsoft Teams? There are so many folders? THank you

    Go into application support support/Microsoft/teams
