Teams app is stuck on 'loading' on Mac

I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

    Hi Steve,

    I think it is, but I have had issues with it too, so I am holding off updating anyone who uses Teams, until the teething issues are irradiated.

    Have you tried logging another user in?

    I am having the same problem with the Teams dialog box hanging on my Mac.  I am using Mac OS 11.1 Big Sur.  Is Teams compatible with this Mac OS version?  Thanks.

    Worked by trashing teams, redownload using safari instead of google chrome and reinstall from there. Then sign out of stuck loading teams account and re-login.

    I had this exact same issue. 

    The fix for me was to completely uninstall the MS Teams App (Trash it). Restart my computer and this time I downloaded it using Safari rather than Chrome. It loaded without any problems. Good Luck
