Calendar Icon not showing up on Teams

Hello,

I just signed up for Teams and I watched the training video about setting up meetings/calendars. In the video I noticed there is a "calendar" icon down the left side of the desktop version. I do not have that, nor do I have the option to add it. Any advice would be great.

Hello Matt,

As you didn't see Calendar icon in the Teams Desktop App, to isolate if it is related to your Desktop App, please try to sign in your Teams Web App ( https://teams.microsoft.com/) and double check if you could find the calendar there, thanks.

If you still cannot find it in the Teams Web, in this case please try to contact your Teams admin ( if you don't know who is your admin, please contact the IT department of your company or school) and then check if your admin has assigned calendar access permission for you.

1.Sign into Teams Admin Center https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/ with the Teams admin account

  1. Navigate to Users > find your teams account there and click it to open the settings page.
  2. Click Policies > App permission policy and open it.
  3. Double check if the Calendar was added for you there, if not your admin can try to add it for you into Pinned apps  and save the changes, thanks.

Please note, the changes in the Teams Admin Center make take some hours to take effect, so please wait for it with some more patience, thanks.

    Hello MiguelRubio,

    Since you are using the Teams for Free version, as far as I know currently the Calendar feature is not availbale for the Teams for Free users, as the calendar feature in the Teams requires for Exchange feature, however the Teams for free doesn't support Exchange feature now, so you cannot find the calendar in the Teams for free, thanks. If you concerned about the Teams for free with calendar feature, it is recommended that please give a feedback to Teams for Free UserVoice, and leave your good ideas there. Microsoft keeps monitoring customers feedback there, some features would be changed based on customers feedback in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for the dedicated develop engineers in Microsoft to improve the product, thanks.

    Hello Oliver,

    I also have an user who reported that he does not have the calendar icon present in teams. 

    The issue is happening in both web and desktop apps. 

    I have checked the app policy and he has Global.

    Others users are able to see the calendar icon

    -OS is MAC

    • reinstalled teams 
    • tried in browser with incognito

    Any new Hint will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Guys,

    For me, setting the following attributes to null did the trick

    EwsApplicationAccessPolicy              : 

    EwsAllowList                            : 

    It took 2-3 hours after running the command and then the calendar tab appeared in teams for all the affected users.

    Hi, 

    I have tried all the possible ways but the calendar is still now showing up in my Teams account. 

    Also, I am unable to connect the teams with my Outlook for direct meeting scheduling. 

    Please help!!
