I have a user where occasionally  he is not able to set any backgrounds. When he selects the option to change backgrounds, the list of backgrounds open on the right corner and if you click on any you only see a circulating round circle. Only a reboot fixes the issue. He is running version  1.3.00.8663 (32-bit)

Can anyone help how to fix this issue?

Have you tried to update the client? That worked for me.

Of course i have.  As i said, they have “iimproved” the product by taking this feature away for older machines with recent updates.

    its ridiculous.

You're right. It's not working for me either. I have version 1.3.00.9271, working on a 2011 MacBook Pro, running macOS High Sierra. :(
