i am unable to get the background settings in microsoft teams

Dear Team ,

 I am using the latest Teams app in my windows 10 laptop. During the meeting for the video I am unable to get the background setting to select a background for my video. Request your help .

    Hi!

    I'm Jesryl an independent advisor. and a Microsoft user like you. Sorry to hear about this news, but let me try and help.

    Right now we can't have custom background or even predefined ones. Microsoft announced they will release it within the quarter so well just have to wait.

    What we have at the moment is a background blur.

    Hi Jesryl,

    I have a Microsoft Surface and a Lenovo Surface clone both with the same version of Teams installed (1.3.00.8863). The Lenovo has the option for custom backgrounds whereas the Microsoft Surface doesn't. How is this possible?

    I have 2 machines.  One laptop, one desktop.  Both were installed with our corporate install of Teams.  The laptop allows me to have backgrounds, the desktop doesn't have the option.  In fact in %appdata%\microsoft\teams on the laptop there's a backgrounds folder, and on the PC there isn't a backgrounds folder.

    Both machines run the latest updates to windows 10.

    This is a Microsoft issue.  Not because MS haven't yet released the functionality, it's the usual MS software issues.

    I have this problem too. I am on the latest version of Teams, though the backgrounds are not there.
