HI IT WAS REALLY HELPFUL
I have looked at snapcamera's website, but what I don't see is how to get any such effect or image into Teams - do you have to have backgrounds working already in order to use this? My problem is no backgrounds show, only a white panel with nothing to choose in it - so frustrating!
Just download snapcamera and use one of their blurred backgrounds. Shows what a joke Microsoft are.
Thanks for the tip. I saw this and immediately tried Snap Camera. I used it with MS Teams and it worked great. Problem solved. It does a lot more than a simple blur or static background image. I tried several "lenses" and my co-workers found them entertaining. I really only needed to blur the background or use an image, something MS can't seem to get done for those with hardware thats a little older. Snap Camera does it better and for free and on my non-AVX2 cpu.

is this possible for mac too?
Mac user here.
I tried to replace the entire Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams folder with a co-worker's folder (he can use Backgrounds, I can't), but it wouldn't let me log in as myself, and kept going to his login window. Even after I managed to "sign in as another user" I was not able to access my own Teams, it just kept bringing up his login window again.
I also tried copying over *just* his Backgrounds folder, which didn't help either.
I will experiment with copying and pasting different files and folders over, unless someone knows exactly which folder the code is in for login info?
