MS Teams crashes when EOS Webcam Utility is used for Video

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Teams for my school. I am using EOS Webcam Utility (NOT Beta) with my Canon EOS 80D. It was working perfectly with video calls for school up until about two weeks ago. Now, whenever I turn on my camera in a video call (and the video setting is EOS Webcam), my Teams crashes and I get an error saying, "There was a glitch. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please sign in again."

In my school, there is an expectation that my camera is on, and my computer's webcam is unusable, so I really need this fixed, and quickly.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Kane

    After you install OBS you:

    1. Add EOS Webcam to the scene.

Your camera should activate and should appear in the "scene" (the black box on the screen). 3. If necessary drag it around, position it, etc. to make sure it's cropped correctly 4. Click "Start Virtual Camera" in the bottom right hand side of the screen.

    5. Select "OBS Virtual Camera" in teams devices:

    6. Optional: Do other things to your image/scene in OBS to make it more fun :)

    Hi Nik

Thanks for your help. Let me see if I understand correctly - You suggest stopping and restarting the teams app. Once it is running again delete the files in the indicated locations.

As teams is running many files are in use and cannot be deleted - have I understood correctly or should I do te clean-up when teams is not running.

As a note after restarting teams and deleting files I had to restart Outlook before I could schedule a meeting.

    Kind regards

    Michael

Thanks Evan - a bit cumbersome but a fine workaround!

    Hi Nik,

I searched those and no files at all loaded - "No items match your search".

    What's next?? :))

    Thanks,

    Kane

Thanks, Evan! If we can't get the desktop issue fixed, I'll switch to that.
