MS Teams crashes when EOS Webcam Utility is used for Video

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Teams for my school. I am using EOS Webcam Utility (NOT Beta) with my Canon EOS 80D. It was working perfectly with video calls for school up until about two weeks ago. Now, whenever I turn on my camera in a video call (and the video setting is EOS Webcam), my Teams crashes and I get an error saying, "There was a glitch. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please sign in again."

In my school, there is an expectation that my camera is on, and my computer's webcam is unusable, so I really need this fixed, and quickly.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Kane

thanks to Anthony post, I could install the mentionned version 1.3.00.30866 (64 bits) but still the EWU does not work (does not crash Teams but the screen is black and it says Video does not work).

Will give the EWU beta version a try...

And will try to find where to download it in this thread too aamof ;)

seems to work fine with the EWU Beta 0.9 archive from softpedia.

Hope Canon & MS will fix it for good, or at least Canon will archive the Beta version somewhere.

    Tx all

Seems to be working for me now.  I first uninstalled the existing version of Teams on my laptop and then ran the new .33674 installer.  Hopefully will continue to work; I know some of you cleared the cache and it only worked temporarily.

    Additional info:

EWU Beta 0.9 + Teams 1.3.00.30866 (64 bits)  seems to work fine

So, let's hope Canon and MS dev teams will collaborate to provide something soon.

I gave up, bought an M200 and a Chinese usb capture card and it's been working fine. ;)

But seriously though it seems like Teams has a very heavy process for both audio and video that has been causing me a bit of a nightmare to use good quality gear and I really hope the EWU support comes back sooner rather than later as I was planning on repurposing a few cameras in the office to make higher quality videoconference booths and I can't have that level of variance introduced in them...  The Beta version does work and the latest update is promising so far... now to see if it holds.
