Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls
Back to crashing again this morning unless I clear the cache every time I start the Teams client. Lets hope Microsoft sort it out in the next client release.

Hi,
I am using Microsoft Teams for my school. I am using EOS Webcam Utility (NOT Beta) with my Canon EOS 80D. It was working perfectly with video calls for school up until about two weeks ago. Now, whenever I turn on my camera in a video call (and the video setting is EOS Webcam), my Teams crashes and I get an error saying, "There was a glitch. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please sign in again."
In my school, there is an expectation that my camera is on, and my computer's webcam is unusable, so I really need this fixed, and quickly.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
Kane

Hello all,
I tried both versions - reinstalled Teams and deleted the Folder before as well the Powershell approach (Version 1.3.00.30866 and 1.3.0.32283)
Both have not been successfull. Teams still crashing.
Same thing here. It was working a couple of hours ago then stopped working all of a sudden. Have not tried the reinstall procedure and cache clearing. Hopefully they find a fix soon. Thanks for the updates all.

Ditto! The deletion of nearly all of the content of the Teams folder made it work for a short time. The next day I was getting no image shown with the camera and, a short time later, crashing again.
Mine is doing the same thing.
Worked last week. Started work today and Teams crashes.
Works with Zoom though and any other web conference. Teams dies immediately when I do this however.
I'm a little weary of deleting everything here because there are a lot of folders and files here. IF they're all temporary I'm happy to wipe them but a work around I found is prior to joining a call, switch to EOS Utility Beta. That works as a work around and it works again.
If Canon is going to release version 1.2 I hope that helps, otherwise there might have been a Teams update that made this crashing occur.
For reference my teams version is: You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.30866 (64-bit).
Didn't work for me either but I then exited the client and clear the cache and a I now have my EOS M50 running reliably as a web cam again with Teams client Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.30866 (64 bit)
I used the following method to clear the cache
- Quit Microsoft Teams.
- Cut and paste the following location into File Explorer: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
- Delete contents of the entire folder.
- Restart Microsoft Teams.
Well I'll be. This seemed to work for me as well. Seems to have reset a lot of settings, but the camera seems to work with the released version of EOS utility. Hopefully it'll stay stable.
This did not work for me at all. Still crashes.
