MS Teams crashes when EOS Webcam Utility is used for Video

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Teams for my school. I am using EOS Webcam Utility (NOT Beta) with my Canon EOS 80D. It was working perfectly with video calls for school up until about two weeks ago. Now, whenever I turn on my camera in a video call (and the video setting is EOS Webcam), my Teams crashes and I get an error saying, "There was a glitch. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please sign in again."

In my school, there is an expectation that my camera is on, and my computer's webcam is unusable, so I really need this fixed, and quickly.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Kane

    Hi Kane,

May I know what device and operating systems do you have? I will provide you specific folder path and location based on your input.

You could try to reinstall the app and see if that fixes the issue.

Please note that MS teams do some tests to ensure that the device is supported, not all USB devices are supported by Teams, so if you use any non-supported devices, you may experience some issues. So, Microsoft has worked with manufacturers and certified some products to give a seamless experience.

Here is the list of all supported Bluetooth headsets as of today, please refer link here -https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/m...

    Regards

    Nik

Thanks, Evan! If we can't get the desktop issue fixed, I'll switch to that.
